This is a really good place to get some Japanese food in Laurinburg. My wife and I went to college here, and we used to go here pretty frequently. It is within walking distance of the St. Andrews University campus We were back here in NC recently for our friends wedding, so we decided to stop here for lunch. It was just as good as we remembered it! They aren't doing indoor dining at the moment so we just ate in our car, but that didn't bother us. Great service, and very reasonably priced too!
This is a great little spot to eat at. Food is always good and they give your more than enough on your plate. Especially take-out orders. If my family of 4 has individual plates we can eat that day and up to two days of leftovers. If we share a plate probably a day of leftovers. This is a nice spot for your Japanese food fix.
Was driving around looking for a place to grab a quick meal and Asian food caught my eye. The restaurant isn't much to look at. Set up like a quick luncheonette, plain Jane. It had the pictures of the food along with the number on the wall. So I really wasn't expecting much. The order counter was in front of the pass-through from the kitchen where the staff was cooking furiously. There were about 15 take out boxes lined up and the tables inside had about another 12 people eating. So that is a bright sign, the place is popular. I ordered the teriyaki steak with broccoli. It comes with white rice and sliced carrots and sat down. The server was friendly and brought me my iced tea and then my food. The presentation wasn't anything special but the teriyaki steak was very good! I was pleasantly surprised! The only part of the meal I wasn't that high on was the carrots. They had a decent taste but they were mushy. I am used to a more crisp vegetable in my Asian cooking. But overall it was a good meal for a good price. I would stop by again when in the area.
Walked in on a Friday after 6pm and there was no one there, we almost walked out. We had teriyaki chicken and it was excellent. We also had sushi, spicy tuna roll and a vegetable roll and we liked them too. Prices were very low for a Japanese restaurant. If we ate at our local Japanese restaurant in Florida what we paid tonight was almost half. People finally started showing up after we were eating our entrees. If I come this was again I will make it a point to eat here.
Nice staff, reasonable wait times. Good food. We call ahead it it is always ready in 20.
